Sculptures by Kees Verwey
On display now | until 22 June
A craftsman who not only made art, but also helped people make art themselves: that is Kees Verwey, sculptor, teacher and well-known resident of Amersfoort. A small exhibition about his work can be seen in our museum. A beautiful collection of approximately 7 sculptures of tight torsos and fragments of the human body made from stone and bronze.
"Depending on the way of cutting, a certain image can change in such a way that a different image is created." - Kees Verwey
He worked on his sculpture in his own studio in the city and through Teleac courses and workshops in both Amersfoort and France he tried to teach the general public his love for sculpting.
This exhibition can now be seen in Museum Flehite
