Museum Flehite is building a collection of contemporary (Amersfoort) art. An important impetus for this was a municipal contribution in 2022 that made it possible to purchase work from a number of artists associated with Amersfoort. These works form the continuation of a collection of modern art (from around 1980) that was already managed by Museum Flehite. An important part of this is the 'core collection' of Armando's paintings and sculptures, obtained on long-term loan from the municipality of Amersfoort. Work by artists such as Ger de Joode, Jaap Hillenius and Otto Egberts also forms the art historical basis for the versatile collection. ART 1980 to NU also includes the work of: Jan Ros, Bob Negryn, Annemieke Alberts, André Groothuizen, Frans Kanters and others.
